My first tour stop with SOLU in Sydney, I met God in a way I had been starving for my whole life. Hebrew worship wrecked me.
Three years in the SOLU worship school. I came as a kid who had never picked up a guitar. Now I lead worship at my congregation.
I started giving $25/month to SOLU because a friend recommended them. Four years in, I finally visited the prayer room — and realized my money had been paying for a teenager's guitar lesson every week.
Our unit got leave for Shabbat. I had not prayed since I was eight. Someone handed me the SOLU Shabbat PDF and I cried through every blessing.
My whole family — ages 9 to 72 — went to the Out of Zion Sydney night together. Even the teenagers did not check their phones. My dad said it was the first worship night he had been moved by in ten years.
